WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

I do like to remind my clients that photography is an art. The reason you are here and inquiring is because my style resonates with you. I like to describe my visual photographic style as moody yet soft, feminine yet strong, and aesthetically gravitating. My style may change over time as my skill develops and my growth continues. I invest time and money into educating myself about our industry and expect it to affect my art.

Turn around time is 3 weeks. This allows Amanda to review, select, color correct, and create a special slideshow for you! So at the time of your reveal and ordering appointment, you are able to get the full experience, touch and feel printed art samples, and embrace your beautiful self.

Amanda has access to a private studio but also shoots in natural light outdoors. She has shot at locations in and around Tucson and Phoenix. For magazine or Vogue style portraits Amanda suggests the indoor private studio.

We have a consultation before the session that allows us to get to know each other better. That way we can ease any nerves and get a better idea of your style. By the time the photoshoot date comes around, you will be more excited than nervous. And remember, Amanda’s job is to help direct you through the process on the day of.

During your consultation with AJF, Amanda will help you through your wardrobe choices. No need to worry, as soon as she sees what you have, it's easy to figure out what will be needed. She can also provide resources to shop or rent from!

Of course you can bring your friends! We encourage any friends or other family members to come along to get into some shots as well! I do ask no more than 2 friends to join. If they require hair and makeup, it is $175 per person for Hair + Makeup. This must be discussed ahead of time to plan for additional time.

With all of the collections we offer, you will receive a matted print of the portraits you purchase, as well as the corresponding digital file. The digital files are suitable for printing up to an 8x10 size. We offer a variety of collections depending on how many images and what products you choose. Personal branding sessions include other formats of digital files.

Depending on what type of shoot we are doing, determines the amount of time. Typically though, hair and makeup is about 1.5 hours and the photoshoot last 2-3 hours.

YES! One of our favorite things about our sessions are the reveal and ordering appointments that take place about 2-3 weeks after your photoshoot! During this appointment you will select your favorites and decide which keepsake products best suit your goals. You only purchase what you love.

Yes AJF does provide hair and makeup for each session. We meet before your photoshoot to allow Amanda to get to know you and your style better and plan wardrobe. AJF works with a selected group of artists who understand the process and what works to create beautiful portraits.
